My Mom! My Heroine!

Your transition has left a void in me, a void I know not how to fill or forget. It feels like I am trapped in a nightmare and cannot seem to wake up. Now, I live in this ocean of beautiful memories you created. I have asked myself questions upon questions, but no answer seems to be a perfect fit, so I guess it’s Heaven’s policy to call their Angels back as soon as they are done with their mission on earth. I am really trying to cope with this reality that Heaven has called you home.

Nothing is ever going to be the same without you; the thought of you not being there in reality bites me. Mom, you gave us your best, and I know without you this journey through life would’ve been a lot more challenging. Mom, you were beautiful both in-person and at heart, you were generous to a fault; I do know through your generosity the gates of Heaven poured extraordinary blessings upon us. I know a lot of events are going to pass without me noticing, now that you are not around to give me all the interesting happenings.

I have come to the understanding that the journey through life is not measured by how long you live, but it’s how well you live and the lives you touch. The legacy you left will live on from generations to generations.

I thank GOD for making you the person I called Mom, and if I were to choose again. I will still choose you again and again.

I will take this moment to appreciate the beautiful work you did on me from the moment I took my first breath till this day we lay you to rest;

For all the love you showered on me; Thanks Mom, I love you.

For all your prayers and blessings; Thanks Mom

For the beautiful smile you always had, which I inherited; Thanks Mom

For all the times you were selflessly putting your family first, Thanks Mom

For all the meals, clothing and shelter you provided; Thanks Mom

For all the jokes, fun time, and entertainment you gave; Thanks Mom

For all the financial responsibility you took for me; Thanks Mom

For always encouraging me to be generous; Thanks Mom

For all the allowance you gave me, even when I wasn’t lacking; Thanks Mom

For all the advice and encouragement throughout my school years; Thanks Mom

For the tireless 35 years, you worked in service without taking any vacation; Thanks Mom

For all the prayers and advice while trying to get into the job industry; Thanks Mom

For all the time you stood guard against the “village people”; Thanks Mom

For always telling me to dress sharp and look handsome; Thanks Mom

For all the times you took care of me when I was sick; Thanks Mom

For all the times you helped me with my laundry; Thanks Mom

For all the times you called to check up on me; Thanks Mom

For all the times you tidied my room; Thanks Mom

For making me the person I am today; Thanks Mom

For teaching us how to grow in peace and harmony as well as taking care of each other; Thanks Mom

‘I cried yesterday’, ‘I’m crying today’, ‘I will cry tomorrow’ not because I am weak; but because it was my turn to take care of you, but GOD knows best.

Your teaching has made my life beautiful, and I am grateful for all the sacrifices you made during your journey on earth.

Mom, you did a perfect job by living an exemplary lifestyle for us to follow.

I miss you dearly Mom and I will forever continue to make you proud

You will forever live on in my heart; Shine on my beautiful Star.

Rest well Mom, I love you.

The legacy you left will live on from generations to generations.
