Ooh! Mom!

Words and pages are never enough to capture the essence of you Mom. A godly woman, fearless and elegant, a warrior with a charming personality, generous and sympathetic to people’s plights. Always willing to help even when it was excruciatingly difficult to do so.

It was never by what you had or didn’t have, but it was rather about a heart felt love for God and humanity.

I remember most times we discussed/argued over your tenets, at the end you would always say Ndukeobong se nno owo mkpo! …..afid mkpo ami ado vanity.

Your sacrifice of love has laid an indelible foundation for us and a legacy in us. I am grateful and blessed for having you as my mother.

The thoughts of your passing, the flashes of memory of what transpired on August 1, 2022, makes me want to cry, to make it feel worse – all I tried didn’t work.

Through your motherly guidance, I could find or create ways around any challenge, but in this particular event…,

I wasn’t prepared,

I couldn’t create a walk around,

I couldn’t diagnose,

My guardians did not even project…..Ooh God!

You said we shouldn’t cry 😭

I still can’t believe it… not shedding tears is the most difficult right now.

I never had the chance to appreciate you enough – I know you will say Ndukeobong you did well, God bless you.

To me it wasn’t enough!

I will miss your physical presence and attributes.

This is me not talking much or writing much as you used to yab me …..

I love you mum.

A godly woman, fearless and elegant, a warrior with a charming personality, generous and sympathetic to people's plights.
