Helen, the Great.
You brought me into this world and you were a key driver for everything I’ve become today.
Learning about your exit from this world was heartbreaking.
I was lost for words and my mind was in different places all at the same time.
I cried as the reality set in, I wanted to ask God why? But then can I ask God why did you give me such a wonderful mom?
You were the best mom that anyone could ask for, you were my number one fan, and was always there to support and cheer me on. I still remember vividly the excitement in your voice when we spoke during my commencement from grad school.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve thought about you alot. I’ve thought about everything you stood for and believed in. One of the things I admired most about you was “progress”, you were visionary in that you always looked to the future of what could be, and how it could be better and looking at our family, you did great! You pushed each of us to build a better life.
I remember one of our conversations where you said if life is just to eat? there is more to it, you talked about having an impact in the world. It’s a question I ask myself daily.
As you were in the specialist hospital, I prayed and asked God for time with you…
I miss you….
Your exit is going to reshape my life and future. I pray the God who was faithful to you and whom you received great favor from, will extend a triple portion of that favor over me.
I want my life to have meaning and impact, just as you have impacted my life.
Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for all the sacrifices.
I love you mom and you will always be in my heart forever!
Until we see again in heaven, your name is blessed in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, amen.
